improvements: east wall before renovation

Staring into the rising Texas sun, for so many years, has taken its toll on the East side of the San Jacinto "Old" School House. Thanks to a generous grant, the weathered and damaged clapboard siding was renovated and for the first time much needed insulation was installed. This has contributed to protection from heat and humidity and has provided more efficient cooling of the kitchen and the classroom areas, which are the most used areas of the facility .
